Join us for Qigong Exercises and Tai Chi with Heather Mitchell!
Heather has been attending Tai Chi classes with us and elsewhere off and on for the last 4 years. She is a talented artist who teaches classes and shows, but she is now carving out time to lead exercise classes for us here and also on Wednesday mornings at Breathe Yoga and Wellness Center on E. Cervantes near Scenic Highway. She is working toward certification as an instructor. - Remember to share with others the benefits of this type of exercise: it helps not only balance and core strength but also cognitive function. If done regularly 2-3 times per week it has proven benefit in reducing falls. It is safe even for frail elders and can be done in a chair.
