Who?

Our Costa Rica Mission Team will be comprised of anyone willing to be used by God, reaching out with help and hope to those in need. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent. Our aim is to have a team of 10 people which will allow us to utilize group airfare rates.

What?

Our team will be serving in an orphanage or care facility for children near San Jose.  Our plan is to serve at one or two facilities for the entire week. This will allow us to develop relationships with the children and the workers at the care centers.  Our plan is to combine ministry with the children and hands on repair/building work in the facility. We will be going as servants, ready to do whatever the facility needs us to do during our time in Costa Rica.   

Where?

We will be serving in and around the capital city of San Jose, Costa Rica.  Costa Rica is a rugged, rain-forested Central American country with coastlines on the Caribbean and the Pacific.  Costa Rica is known for its beaches, volcanoes and immense biodiversity. We will be staying at Casa Cielo Grande on the mountainside above San Jose.  Our residence is just up the mountain from Tom and April Deagan.  

When?

8 days from June 15-22, 2018

TEAM COMMITMENT 

To make a commitment to serve as a part of our Costa Rica Mission Team, a $200/person deposit is due no later than November 20, 2017.  This deposit allows us to secure our airline tickets for group travel. 

TEAM PREPARATION

Team preparation will begin with our first team meeting on Sunday, January 7, 2018 after morning worship (11:30 am).  We will be meeting monthly through June, 2018 in order to prepare ourselves spiritually, relationally, physically, and financially for this opportunity to serve.

In- country expenses: $875

($125/day includes lodging, meals and transportation)

Total estimated cost/person: $1719

Additional costs may include passports and immunizations, sightseeing and souvenirs.
